Total Information Processing Support Services
(TIPSS-3)
Through alliances with our strategic partners, CMCI also offers additional Federal Government contract vehicles. CMCI is committed to providing clients with best-in-class service and enhanced solutions that exceed expectations.
The TIPSS-3 contracts were awarded as a result of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Solicitation No. TIRNO-04-R-00017. Each contract is indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ). The task orders’ "cost" types may be cost-reimbursement-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF), firm-fixed-price (FFP), or time and materials (T&M), depending on the nature of the services to be provided, dollar values, and other factors. Principal Task Areas are defined below.
Information System Services (ISS) This task area includes traditional automated data processing (ADP) or IT support services, including all aspects of software development, training, and quality assurance support services. The skills and knowledge within this area are foundational to the specialized aspects of information processing represented by the other Principal Task Areas identified in the contract.
Strategic Business Services (SBS)
This task area includes the modernization of paper-based organizations through the implementation of cutting-edge, large-scale systems across functional areas; support services in the acquisition of high-level project management skills and tools for managing, tracking, reporting, and transitioning large-scale systems; and maintaining configuration management controls. In addition, this Principal Task Area includes support for the special computer and human interfaces often required to provide equal access to information resources for employees who have physical or sensorial disabilities.
System Security Services (SSS)
This task area includes enhancing IT security for data files stored on a local machine or transmitted over a network; assessing IT-related risks regarding privacy, fraud, and abuse; and determining the adequacy of internal controls to eliminate and/or mitigate risks to new systems being built. This task area also includes the development of contingency plans to cover system failures and recovery procedures; evaluation and implementation of encryption; authentication of system users; digital signatures to ensure integrity of critical systems; the conduct of risk analysis; the development of recommendations and implementations; and plans for new procedures and changes to existing systems. In addition, this Principal Task Area provides support for the Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12).
