Pulak Chakrabarti - President & Chief Executive Officer
Pulak Chakrabarti is the founder, president, and chief executive officer of Chakrabarti Management Consultancy, Inc. (CMCI). Mr. Chakrabarti founded CMCI in 2005 with the goal of providing cost effective, innovative, and high quality solutions to the federal government. His vision has been simple and consistent throughout the years; it’s all about doing what’s best for the customer.
Mr. Chakrabarti is a veteran of the technology industry with more than 25 years of experience leading mission critical programs for some of the largest and most federated federal enterprises. He is a recognized thought leader in risk & threat management, screening and targeting, and the extended global supply chain.
As a management consultant and strategic advisor, he provides overall strategy and vision, as well as business and technical leadership for large-scale systems design and implementation. Mr. Chakrabarti is known among federal executives for his ability to deliver on strategic initiatives and drive tangible improvements in areas of organizational and operational effectiveness. He has set the overarching direction and roadmap for automated risk management & targeting initiatives for U.S. Customs and Border Protection. These initiatives are critical components to law enforcement’s layered approach to protecting the security of the United States and the global supply chain.
Prior to founding CMCI, Mr. Chakrabarti had a distinguished career leading federal and private sector programs for Lockheed Martin Corporation, FiServ Inc, HCL-Hewlett Packard, Birla Technical Services, TIL Ltd and the Indian Statistical Institute.
Mr. Chakrabarti earned a Master’s Degree in Applied Statistics & Data Analysis from the Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta. He has also earned his B.S (Honors) in Mathematics from St Xavier's College, Calcutta. He has presented numerous technical papers in the area of complex and large scale systems program management and served as a visiting Professor of Statistics at SA Jaipuria College at the University of Calcutta.
